Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager for a growing, multi-entity organization in Baltimore, MD. Overview of Responsibilities:+ Oversee day-to-day payroll operations and the processing of high-volume (~1000+), multi-state, multi-entity, weekly/bi-weekly payroll while ensuring timely and accurate transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.+ Lead various payroll projects to include centralizing the payroll process for multiple entities and implementing ADP Workforce Now for new companies acquired. + Manage a team of 2 Payroll Specialists while assessing staffing needs to support the growth of the business. + Hire, train, and develop payroll staff ensuring performance levels meet or exceed expectations.+ Develop and implement more efficient and streamlined processes and procedures. + Partner with the Finance and HR Department as well as leadership to address issues and drive new initiatives. + Maintain internal/external communication regarding payroll related updates. + Ensure employee data is accurately being entered and maintained in ADP. + Generate and analyze various payroll and ad-hoc reports.+ Perform various payroll administration and management functions. Requirements + 8-10 years of high-volume (~1000+), multi-state, multi-entity, weekly/bi-weekly payroll processing & management experience is required. + ADP Workforce Now experience is required; Experience assisting with payroll implementations is desired. + Experience working through acquisitions and/or centralizing the payroll process is a plus. + Possessing a degree and payroll certifications are preferred, but will look at equivalent level of experience in lieu of education.+ Must be a strong and driven leader with proven success building and growing out teams. + Must be extremely knowledgeable and possess the confidence and business acumen to make smart business decisions. + Exudes high moral integrity and level of confidentiality with proven success maintaining privileged information.+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully build and maintain long lasting relationships. + Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks in a fast paced, demanding environment.+ Strategic with the ability to bring new ideas to the table to create efficiencies and drive results.+ Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, drive solutions, and effectively problem-solve. + Not easily overwhelmed with the ability to operate with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines. + Resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated with a team player mentality and positive attitude. + Strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills.Company offers a full range of benefits, competitive compensation package including quarterly bonus potential, a strong collaborative culture, and the opportunity to build/grow out the payroll team with the autonomy to make decisions that they feel will best support the needs of the business.
