Description This successful company is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their ranks as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position could take your career to the next level. Can you match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks? A dynamic organization with a growing team is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Ashland, Virginia area.How you will make an impact- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them- Provide support during internal and external audits- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis- Complete full-cycle A/P- Execute additional tasks as needed Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases- Sage 100 experience preferred- QuickBooks experience desired- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred- Highly organized and self-motivated Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
