REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, LICENSURE: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous general maintenance, carpentry and painting experience required. HVAC and electricity experience desired. Valid driver's license required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Support the mission and purposes of Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: General maintenance duties, ie, repair clogged toilets/sinks, replace lightbulbs, assist with resident moves, and event setups, hang pictures and deliver packages. Utilize work order program and related technology to ensure work requests are completed timely, accurately, and according to policy and procedures. Carpenter duties, ie, renovation of apartments to include removing cabinets, flooring, walls, drywall, and doors. Install cabinets and countertops, flooring, trim, doors, shelving, and fixtures. Hang and finish drywall, painting, plumbing rough-ins and finishes. Assist electrician with electrical rough-ins. Conducts scheduled maintenance throughout the community and for all equipment. Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following safety rules and guidelines, follow good housekeeping practices, take proper care of equipment, and perform job duties and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
