Description: As a Communications Manager, you will perform duties directly related to Providence Center's overall communications and marketing efforts. A Communications Manager will help to cultivate a distinct branding and messaging that clearly and translates central ideas across various forms of media to engage with Providence Center's internal and external audiences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Communications Manager . Developing annual communications and marketing plan and evaluating its success. . Planning and implementing communication and marketing campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, etc. based on personal assessment in conjunction with the agency of record. . Managing internal and external corporate communications, both print and digital, including messaging for staff and families, external stakeholders and the general public . Maintaining brand image consistency including review and approval of collateral by other departments, and promotion of the brand . Messaging and growing viewership across social media platforms. . Messaging and basic updates to WordPress website. . Marketing for specialized areas including horticulture, pottery, and HR support . Presenting design ideas and recommendations to leadership and departments within Providence Center. . Helping to build PR through media, community relationships, and self-created opportunities and events. . Developing and adhering to an annual communications and promotions calendar. . Developing and managing promotional/community events. . Attending Providence Center-related events and other networking events in the community. Requirements: A Communications Manager will have: . Strong verbal and written communication skills. . Bachelor's degree. Preferably in the communications field. . 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a communications-related position preferred. . Some graphic design experience. . Experience collaborating with an outside marketing/advertising agency as a plus. . Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Internet, etc. . Proficiency with relevant editing and content management software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Publisher, WordPress etc. as a plus.
