NGMS is looking for a System Security Engineer candidate to join a multi-discipline engineering team that encompasses Cybersecurity and Anti-Tamper Engineering. Northrop Grumman's System Security Engineering department is on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation's warfighter. The selected System Security Engineer candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of security engineering and have domain expertise or the opportunity to develop their knowledge in the following areas: Primary Responsibilities: Defining system architectures that are resistant to tamper and cyber-attacks Identifying Anti-Tamper Critical Program Information (CPI) and writing Anti-Tamper Plans Deriving and documenting AT Requirements Supporting AT integration and test Executing Verification and Validation of AT Requirements AT Studies in accordance with Government and NGC processes including, trade studies, research areas, and detailed analysis of system design to include microelectronic implementation and software implementation as well as system integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk. Preparing and presenting briefings to internal and external programs and customers such as Tri-Service Committee, Red Team, ATEA, and V&V team to obtain AT approvals for US-deployed and exported military systems Domain Expertise System engineering lifecycle Hardware and software focused anti-tamper techniques (ie Advanced Microelectronic design and fabrication and Secure software architectures and applications) Digital logic debug and analysis Advanced integrated circuit (IC) failure analysis tools and techniques Applied knowledge of cryptographic security, RMF, DFARS, and CMMC Risk assessment and vulnerability management Development Opportunities Reverse Engineering to architect and validate AT solutions Strategic planning of Anti-Tamper technology development Participating in communities of practice to further domain knowledge The successful candidate should have a foundation in System Engineering with full development life cycle experience. The System Security Engineer interfaces with other engineering disciplines to develop the complete system security solution. This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer (T03): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 5 years general technical experience OR Master's with 3 Years of experience. System Engineering knowledge of DoD based Platforms, Sensors and/or Sub-systems including but not limited to: RMF, RF, Radar, EO/IR, Satellite, Cryptography, Architecture development, etc. Familiarity with requirements development and derivation or validation and verification Active DOD Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain higher Special Access Program (SAP) clearances US Citizenship is required Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer (T04): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 9 years general technical experience OR Master's with 7 Years of experience; OR PhD with 4 years of experience. System Engineering knowledge of DoD based Platforms, Sensors and/or Sub-systems. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. " Salary Range: $96,900 USD - $145,300 USD Salary Range 2: $120,000 USD - $180,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
