Travel Required: 10-25% Public Trust: None Requisition Type: Regular GDIT is HIRING a Sr. Program Manager to help foster current military health programs and expand upon them! At GDIT people are our differentiator. Our work depends on an experienced Military Health Program Manager to join our team to support programs in the DMV. Hybrid work schedule available. Candidate will need to be local to the DC, MD, VA area. As a Health Program Manager you will be trusted to successfully coordinate, manage and develop public health/ medical research programs and projects (not IT related). We are GDIT. Together with the Military Health System and the Department of Veterans Affairs, we're helping to research, educate, diagnose, and treat the healthcare issues affecting our service members, veterans, and their families. In this role, a typical day will include: Providing technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management. Participating in the development of technical project plans, proposals, and reports, in the area of military health and medical research. Coordinating the development of and quality assurance for deliverables. Acting as the hiring manager for positions within assigned contracts. Supervises assigned staff, including subordinate supervisors (approximately 30 employees). Participating in the development of technical project plans, proposals, and reports, in the area of military health, public health and medical research and development. Attending customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison. Conducting planning and providing recommendations to client on task workload. What You'll Need to Have (required): Bachelor's degree in a health or scientific discipline required. 8+ years related experience managing health related projects. Strong experience with technical writing and proposal development. Supervisory experience. What Would Be Even Better (preferred): Master's degree in Public Health or related filed, strongly preferred. Project/ Program management experience specifically related to Military Health programs, strongly preferred. PMP certification, strongly preferred. GDIT is your place.
