Travel Required: Less than 10% Public Trust: NACI (T1) Requisition Type: Regular GDIT- Federal Civilian Division is currently looking for a Systems Integration Engineer (Sensor) to join our team to support the United States Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA) located at Ft Detrick, MD. USAMMDA is the premier developer of world class military medical capabilities with a mission to develop and deliver quality medical capabilities to protect, treat, and sustain the health of Our Service Members. The Systems Integration Engineer will support the Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation (WHPE) PMO at USAMMDA in the following tasks. This is not a programming position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide systems integration engineering support for product development of systems such as the Health Readiness and Performance System (HRAPS). Apply engineering principles for the effective integration of technology(s) into a system of systems, such as HRAPS, using an incremental, phased approach Provide technical and functional support in the integration of the Joint Health Risk Management (JHRM) capability and/or other capability(s) into HRAPS Research, evaluate, and recommend Government off the shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off the shelf (COTS) sensors, algorithms and suggested leader actions into actionable information based on, but not limited to, requirements, technology maturity and availability for inclusion to programs of record in an incremental, phased approach Develop plans, schedules and estimates as they relate to integrating various sensors with existing software systems and networks Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other sensor related engineering documents Utilize knowledge of wearable devices, physiological sensors, algorithms, and other sensor types into actionable information that allows small unit leaders to make data-driven decisions on unit performance and safety Apply systems engineering knowledge, skills and experience in integrating sensor technology into a system of systems using an incremental approach Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing systems and sensors Apply expertise in signal processing to guide the development of various physiological and environmental sensors Participate in special projects as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or higher in a field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT Hardware, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience 12+ years of related experience Experience with wearable bio sensor, wireless sensors or Bluetooth sensors Experience planning, coordinating, and integrating within a schedule Must be US citizen and be T3 clearable.
