Go on, keep reading As a technology leader for our Small and Medium Business (SMB) Platform Infrastructure team, you will be leading and inspiring a team of engineers who are responsible for building out our platform capabilities. With our platform we have the great opportunity to drive impact not only directly to the external customer but also to hundreds of developers in our organization. We are responsible for delivering the Frontend platform, global UI controls like Navigation, segmentation and tooling that supports individuals across the organization. Using your experience to revisit, guide and drive technology decisions, you will not only help improve our engineering capabilities but also help set, measure and enforce best practices across software components built on our platform. As an Engineering Manager, you - Are able to convince others of infrastructure best practices with the goal of making other engineering teams better and faster. Totally geek out on experimenting in order to drive results. Your out of the box thinking has made the lives of your development teams easier. Are excited about working on a variety of projects, across multiple disciplines (Frontend, API, tooling) that involves cutting edge work that serve other Indeed organizations. Who You Are Requirements Fullstack knowledge with a great understanding of frontend (TypeScript/React) Significant prior success as a Software Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer Experience building teams from the ground up is a plus The ability to guide a team to achieve important goals together Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers Experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures Experience building high-performance distributed systems 6+ years industry experience in software development 2+ years industry experience in a leadership/mentorship role Who we are We are a rapidly growing and highly-capable Engineering organization building the most popular job site on the planet. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
