Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst (FA) will be a key member of the contracts and finance teams and assist both Contract Mangers (CM) and Project Managers (PM) and Sector leads in all duties related to financial and performance to include but not limited to:Responsibilities:Initiate, monitor, and maintain proper project financial setup in Deltek Costpoint.Monitor and analyze report project actuals and resolves issues.Monitor outstanding project commitments (eg, travel, subcontracts).Assist with ETCs and conduct variance analysis.Monitor the project's burn rate against funding remaining and prepare contract modifications.Initiate and route at risk forms for projects that are required to perform at risk.Communicate project status and findings to the Contracts Manager, the Sector VP, Controller and the PM where necessary.Consistently meet all required month end close deadlines (contract modifications, project setup changes, accruals, at risk approvals).Review the monthly contribution margin report and provide analysis on variances.Proactively monitor project timecards, ensure timecard errors are identified and corrections are processed in timely manner.Ensure accuracy of project-related expense reports and timely processing.Work with the Controller and the Director of Accounting to ensure subcontract/vendor payments are processed and coded correctly and in timely fashion.Work with the billing department to provide customer specific invoice backup.Review and approve draft invoices prior to submission to customer.Monitor billing and payment status of customer invoices.Assist project team with work authorizations, identifying and analyzing project risk, development and execution of internal and external project reviews.Oversees and prepares monthly financial reporting (eg CDRLs). Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Finance is preferred.Four year's of experience can be substituted for a four degreeAdditional two years with an Associate's degreeMinimum three (3) years of directly related work experience including budgets, financial analysis and reporting.Minimum two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Office suite.Ability to handle high volume of projects of varying contract type and complexity.Consistently meets all required deadlines.Specific equipment and applications experience preferred: Proficiency with Costpoint project setup and reportingMicrosoft ExcelSharePointMust have excellent communication, organizational skills and be able to work independently or in a team environment.Our entire AVIAN workforce is required to comply with the Executive Order 14042 requiring employees to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19.
