General Responsibilities: The Senior Director Government Affairs, EV Incentive Strategy will strategize, coordinate, and execute on obtaining government incentives for Electric Vehicles. They will interact with local, state, and federal legislative bodies and government agencies to represent and protect the organization's business plans and interests. The key responsibilities and accountabilities for the Senior Director are: Research and monitor government activities including government grants, rebates, and other incentives that could affect the organization's business and clients Foresee new opportunities for grants, rebates, and other incentives and develop strategies to pursue those opportunities Draft and disseminate internal analysis and reports regarding incentive programs and policy development Draft statements of corporate positions on incentive programs and policies Prepare, submit, and track incentive applications, presentations, reports, and all other materials necessary to solicit and receive grants, rebates, and incentives available Assist leadership with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry Build and maintain professional relationships with members of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies Testify before government committees in support of the organization and/or industry Introduce legislative and public policy strategy that will support company operations Essential Requirements: Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree preferred in Public Affairs or related field Professional Experience: 10 + Years previous experience Established relationships with Governmental Agencies Experience complying with reporting and record keeping requirements associated with government grants and incentives Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism a plus Result driven with demonstrated history of success Knowledge: Financial and business acumen Experience in government affairs, grant program administration, grant application competition or related experience Experience in writing or reviewing grant applications, RFPs, and rebate applications Developing EV charging incentive programs or similar Proven success presenting grant proposals and/or grant results to program administrators Outstanding people management and leadership capability Analysis and report modeling understanding Skills: Highly organized Demonstrates resourcefulness- Analytical and conceptual thinker- using logic and reasoning, creative and strategic Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sales Skills- Ability to present and win business and funding from third parties Influence and Negotiation skills Resource allocation and management- the ability to evaluate funding opportunities and prioritize resources Ability to interface with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Strong Time Management skills Flexible and able to adapt to changes Competencies: Strategic Thinking Build Talent Leading Courageously Personal Accountability Effective Communication Drives Collaboration Demonstrates Initiative Operational & Process Excellence Passion for Customer Service & Stakeholder Success Trust & Integrity Adaptable and Flexible Uses Insightful Judgement
