Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Strategic Planner Director - US Navy to join our growing team of diverse professionals at our sector headquarters in McLean, Virginia or out of Orlando, FL. This role will be accountable for growing and leveraging strong relationships with both internal and external customers and focused in particular on our Department of the Navy portfolio and customer. The selected candidate will work closely in each of our Sector's primary business areas and must have the knowledge and the collaborative skills to ensure each market is optimally oriented for growth. This person will also be responsible for driving the Sector's global growth and marketing objectives. The Strategic Planning Director - US Navy leads customer relations for military, government, civil and commercial customers across diverse domains. This person must be a strong communicator and be able to work successfully within the context of a global organization. Responsibilities include: . Collaboratively executes the sector's strategic growth plan . Develop and execute a customer engagement plan for the Sector focused on the Department of the Navy with the objective of growing our relationship and business pipeline with the Department. . Manages multi-division priorities and pipeline coordination, and leads determination efforts throughout the sector . Assesses opportunities available within and beyond existing markets, offerings, and business models . Interact comfortably and effectively with senior strategic customers, decision makers, third party partners, and officers within Northrop Grumman . Scan the environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over market, and work with the Strategy team to perform financial analysis . Develop and monitor profitability, productivity, and growth targets . Prepare acquisition proposals, recommend financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans Basic Qualifications: . One of the following: Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of related experience Master's degree in Business or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of related experience . A minimum of 5 years of experience in C4, weapons and/or logistics business, or other areas across military and government domains . Experience in systems/services contracting with Navy programs and customers . Proven relationships and credibility in the federal contracting industry (Navy oriented) . Must have demonstrated skills in leadership and developing a talent pipeline . Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance . The ability to work on-site in McLean, Virginia or Orlando, FL . The ability to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time) Preferred Qualifications: . Master's degree . Experience working within the Department of Defense, Military branches, or civilian government roles . Flag Officer in the US Military (Navy specifically) or equivalent in civil service . Program management and/or operational experience Salary Range: $155,600 USD - $270,200 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
