Intro: As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, diagnosis and performance tuning of critical SQL Server database systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. What You'll Be Doing: Triaging and optimizing application and platform related performance issues.Leading performance monitoring and tuning of assigned projects and communicate with other teams for identifying root cause of all database related issues.Ensuring database systems and services are certified for operational readiness (desired state configuration, security, health and performance). Proactively support ongoing maintenance, backup/ recovery, security, auditing, and production support. Must be a subject matter expert on SQL and must able to lead applications and projects independently.This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Location and Travel Details: This is a remote position with occasional travel. Profile of Success: Minimum 5 years of MS SQL Server and DBA experience.At least four demonstrable advanced DBA skills such as:PerfmonSQL TraceSQL Server ProfilerIderaAlways OnTransparent Data EncryptionSQL Server Change Data CaptureStored Procedures, SSIS, SSRSExperience with ADO and GIT Desirable Skills: Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.Knowledgeable of infrastructure tools and management techniques and able to follow standards and processes that have been published.Must be able to provide systems training to team members as needed.Demonstrable skills at supporting at least two major applications stacks from a system engineering perspective.Ability to demonstrate a capacity to learn new technical concepts and to adapt to new technologies quickly.
