A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Security Compliance Lead in Herndon, Virginia (VA).Responsibilities include: * Security Compliance Lead is developing documentation on new or existing systems * Developing and documenting configuration standards, policies, and procedures for operating, managing, and ensuring the security of system infrastructure * Participating in incident, problem, and change management processes * Security Compliance Lead will perform real-time cyber defense incident handling (eg, forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support Incident Response Teams (IRTs) * Provide guidance regarding vulnerability and risk analysis within the cybersecurity industry, including current and emerging technologies, methodologies (including cloud security models) * Provide guidance regarding vulnerability and risk analysis within the cybersecurity industry, including current and emerging technologies, methodologies (including cloud security models) * Recommend and provide guidance on system enhancements that improved the performance, security, and reliability of the system * Able to create, discuss and explain technical documentation * Ensure data integrity by evaluating, proposing, facilitating, providing guidance on software and hardware solutions * Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of experience; Master's degree and 8-10 years of experience preferred * 8 years of related Information Assurance Analyst or Security Operations Center experience - primarily in a government environment, dealing with business critical, high availability systems * 2 years Red Hat Linux and Oracle Linux experience in an enterprise environment * 2 years Windows experience in an enterprise environment * 2 years of Cloud Environment experience * Experience with enterprise scanning tools: such as Nexpose, Tanium, and/or Nessus * Strength in multitasking and prioritization to meet periodically changing deadlines * Knowledge and experience with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) to provide process and remediation recommendations * Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively: excellent written and verbal communications skills * Experience reviewing, researching, providing guidance to engineers, and respective OS admins to properly respond to vulnerabilities * Experience with implementation and writing technical security controls in cloud environments * Good working knowledge of OEL & RHEL systems - has basic knowledge of both Operating Systems to include navigating to servers and providing artifacts in for POA validation * Must be extremely flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on very tight deadlines * Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
