Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Reimbursement Specialist for our Reimbursement Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Reimbursement Specialist you will:

• Be responsible for the following daily Business Office/Reimbursement activities: Billing claims, completing follow-up activities on claims submitted to the third party payers, preparing adjustments and refunds.
• Provides excellent customer service and assist in problem resolution internally and externally
• Participates in the maintaining Electronic Medical Record (EMR) billing, collection and cash posting system
• Maintains working knowledge for all Federal, State, and Managed Care requirements
• Process all Electronic and manual bills timely
• Audits, corrects and appeals claims that have been returned or denied
• Verifies and corrects insurance information, charges and coding issues for all electronic and manual claims
• Troubleshoots & communicates to supervisor/manager on all business office issues and reimbursement functions
• Completes collections/follow-up and other reimbursement activities in accordance to department policies

Qualifications include:

• High School Graduate
• 5 years' experience in Healthcare business office
• Knowledge of Business office and reimbursement functions
• Knowledge for all coding requirements including 837, UB92, CPT, HCPCS and CPT
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain a high volume of processing without compromising quality and accuracy
• Ability to participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction and efficiency

Work Schedule:

This is a hybrid position (remote and on site). The work schedule is from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
