An employer is looking for a Building Automation Technician sitting in Ashburn, VA. The individual will be responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting. They will diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components as well as troubleshoot software and hardware issues, validate hardware, and project installations, and install, replace, and re-commission devices, equipment, and software, and make sure that installation tracking sheets are updated regularly. They will also collaborate with the project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitors budget risks, participate in-field quality control or safety audits and review analysis and results, and act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors during the installation phase. Minimum RequirementsAt least 4 years of experience as a Systems Technician with related industry knowledge and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades. Experience with HVAC and security installations and be proficient in all types of building systems and applications of our technology. Capable of coordinating other project team activities on-site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
