A client of Insight Global is looking for a Structural Research Engineer to join their Diplomatic Security team. This individual will perform research and development for construction management and make sure the facilities are protected against physical attacks. They will be required to travel to sites both mainly CONUS 25% of the time to attend blast/ballistic/forced-entry testing at sites. Theyll be working the other 75% of their time on-site in Arlington, Va. This individual will need to be clearable, so they can obtain their Secret Clearance from day one. If theyre already cleared, this opportunity can cage up to a TS. This person will need an Engineering degree and 1-2 years of Structural research experience. Theyre helping ensure compliance with Department (OBO) Projects. IE, ensuring the building meets physical standards, looking after DSs best interest and security requirements. This individual doesnt need to have experience using LS-DYNA, VAPO, or Wingard, but any use of these tools is a plus. Minimum RequirementsClearable will obtain Secret Clearance and can cage up to TS Engineering Degree Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, etc. Strong years of Engineering experience in lieu of a degree Two years of Dynamic Response/Structural Response Experience Ability to Travel 25% of the time Desired SkillsSecurity experience within the DoSPublic Speaking experience
