What You'll Do HereAs a Paralegal at RVCM, you will provide legal assistance to various program areas.Perform basic legal research using a variety of automated legal research tools as well as public information databases and other automated resources to research case or program specific legal mattersPrepare digests of selected decisions or opinions that incorporate legal references and analysis of precedents involved in areas of well-defined and settled points of lawMaintain SharePoint database repository of case law and other relevant documents and reference materialsSearch for and summarize relevant articles in trade magazines, law reviews, published studies, financial reports, and similar materials for use of attorneys in the preparation of opinions, briefs, and other legal documentsReview case materials to become familiar with questions under consideration; note deficiencies in case materials, and additional issues or other questionable matters, and requests further investigation to remedy deficienciesParticipate in meeting with attorneys and other Government personnel; may have significant contact with attorneys, professional support staff, and other Government personnelPrepare and organize documentation including exhibits, statistical charts, etc.Draft and edit non-legal memoranda, research reports, and correspondence relating to casesAssist with the content development and preparation of training materials for conferences, webinars, and eLearning modulesPerform other closely related duties as assignedWhat You'll Bring to the TeamBachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study; paralegal certification is preferredDemonstrated success in a paralegal role, preference given to working in an environment dealing with contract law and/or Government contractingHigh level of foundational understanding of the legal system, including knowledge of standard legal citation system sufficient to perform legal researchHighly proficient with legal research tools and databases, such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, CourtLink, etc. Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsAble to work independently and consistently deliver highest quality work under pressure in a dynamic environment that requires the ability to multitask and handle changing prioritiesDetail-oriented, motivated, and thorough with strong organizationProficient in Microsoft Office programs and in accessing, learning, and maintaining various databases such as SharePointAbility to operate a variety of office equipment: PCs, copiers, phone systems, scanners, fax machines, etc.Currently holds or able to obtain proper security clearances for DoD and DoJ workJoin Our 'OhanaThe 'ohana-oriented mindset is one of the pillars from which our company has been built upon.
