NGMS is looking for a System Security Engineering/Embedded Systems Engineering candidate to join a multi-discipline engineering team that encompasses Cybersecurity and Anti-Tamper Engineering. Northrop Grumman's System Security Engineering department is on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation's warfighter. The selected System Security Engineer candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of security engineering and have domain expertise or the opportunity to develop their knowledge in the following areas: Primary Responsibilities: Help to define system architectures that are resistant to tamper and cyber-attacks Support system requirements development by following standard processes for assessing, implementing and verifying security requirements Help identify Anti-Tamper Critical Program Information (CPI) and writing of Anti-Tamper Plans Support Anti-Tamper/Cybersecurity Integration & Test and executing Verification & Validation requirements Provide analysis, development, implementation and security assessments to ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance Support the continuous assessment of IA Control compliance for the program Development Opportunities Reverse Engineering to architect and validate AT solutions Strategic planning of AT technology development Security Assessment and continuous monitoring Secure software architectures and applications Participating in communities of practice to further domain knowledge The successful candidate should have a foundation in System Engineering with some development life cycle experience. The System Security Engineer interfaces with other engineering disciplines to develop the complete system security solution. This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering or Software Engineering discipline with 2 years general technical experience OR Master's with 0 Years of experience General knowledge of DoD based Platforms and Embedded Systems, including but not limited to: RMF, Cryptography and Systems Engineering design and implementation Familiarity with requirements development and derivation or validation and verification Demonstrably good writing skills; ability to contribute to deliverable technical documents and reports Active Secret clearance is required - US Citizenship is a prerequisite Ability to obtain higher Special Access Program (SAP) clearances Ability to travel occasionally CONUS and OCONUS (10% or less) Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degrees in Engineering, Software, or Science Possess a DOD 8570 certification: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar Experience with Reverse Engineering, Hardware Design, Embedded Software or Cryptography Moderate proficiency in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. " Salary Range: $78,600 USD - $118,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
