Job Description: Windows Systems Administrator (SA) - Provides subject matter expertise for systems hosted within CLASSIFIED networks in Falls Church, VA, They are responsible for the overall administration and maintenance tasks for the assigned systems and infrastructure under their control. Additionally, the SA works with the Cybersecurity team ensuring that the environments are documented, maintained, and ready for risk assessment as part of a system accreditation process including: scanning, patching, and documenting the production environments. Responsibilities: Knowledge and experience with Windows Active Directory administration. Participate in or lead troubleshooting for Windows servers and/or workstation incidents and outages. Coordinate, configure, and maintain DISA STIG and patch compliance on Windows Servers, and Windows 10 workstations. Experience with using Microsoft SCCM and WSUS for patching of Windows OS and Microsoft applications. Collaborate with fellow IT staff to diagnose and fix server and network issues. Ensure maximum up time for Windows and VMware server assets through proactive management. Coordinate and perform upgrades (hardware and software) for the assigned systems and infrastructure under their control. Create and update technical documentation and work instructions. Provision and load PKI certificates on servers. Create/configure user, computer, and application service accounts in Windows AD. Accurately log/ticket, track, and resolve incidents using the ITSM system. Provide accurate, timely, and professional resolution on all supported incidents and issues. Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service. After hours on-call support for critical/high issues. Provide updates to management and project leadership of all ongoing critical issues. Other duties as assigned. Skills: Demonstrated technical competency as a System Administrator on a Windows domain Proficient with Microsoft SCCM and workstation/server patching Experience configuring VMware virtual machines is a plus Familiarity with various security assessment/hardening tools (STIG, SCAP, checklists, Nessus, etc.). Experience with ACAS scanners, specifically interpreting scan results is a plus. Familiarity with batch scripting in PowerShell, VBScript, etc. is a plus. Strong oral and written communications skills. Proven ability to work independently with limited direct supervision. Proficient in setting priorities to meet project deadlines. Strong critical thinking skills that facilitate timely problem-solving. Other desired experience: SolarWinds, Veeam, VMWare Horizon VDI, NetApp SAN, HP Blade, Network Administration. Requirements: BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (High School Diploma and equivalent technical experience and certification may be used in lieu of BS Degree). 4+ years' experience in a technical IT role; 8+ years without BS Degree. 2+ years' system administration or engineering experience including: Windows Server (2019, 2016, or 2012r2) Active Directory infrastructure (deployment/upgrades) Group Policy administration/Windows security Active DoD SECRET (or above) clearance. Have or obtain requisite DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (eg Security + CE) within 60 days of beginning position. Work on-site due to classified system requirements.
