Associate Director of Operations, Office of AdmissionsThe George Mason University, Office of Admissions, is looking for a dynamic, motivated, and innovative Associate Director of Operations. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Admissions Operations, oversees all functions related to the transfer application processing procedure and domicile review;Manages the daily activity related to application processing, domicile review and operations, to include the efficient and timely processing of all data, documents, and electronic information;Evaluates transfer, post-baccalaureate, and prior Mason student applications;Acts in a supervisory capacity for complex questions concerning domicile review;Along with the Director of Admissions Operations, utilizes admission data to inform data-driven decisions such that institutional goals and timelines are met;Develops, maintains, and utilizes processing dashboards related to efficiency;Continually enhances processes for increased automation;Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating appropriate staff;Provides direct supervision and mentorship to multiple full-time staff members;Acts in an advisory capacity for complex questions concerning transfer credit evaluation;Collaborates with key academic partners to insure a positive and successful on-boarding experience for new transfers;Represents the office to external constituencies such as the State Committee on Transfer, VCCS, AACRAO and VACRAO; andOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Master's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;Significant full-time experience in admissions, college counseling, or related field (typically 5+ years);Demonstrated skill in effective written communication;Demonstrated organizational skills;Demonstrated leadership skills; andSupervisory experience, 2+ years preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Salesforce or another comparable CRM;Domicile experience; andBilingual.George Mason University's pioneering tradition of innovation attracts some of the brightest minds in the country.
