They have continuously won Best Place to Work in Baltimore three years in a row They are currently looking to add 2-3 Senior Audit Associates or 1 Senior Auditor and 2 Junior Auditors to their growing team on a contract to hire basis and start as soon as possible Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm EST but can be flexible if needed. 100% remote for LOCAL East coast candidates! Reports to the Senior Manager and Principal Job Responsibilities: Leading the execution of day-to-day activities of audit engagements for our clients including SEC registrants and non-profit organizations Gaining an understanding of assigned clients' objectives as well as their regulatory and risk management environment Identifying and researching clients' accounting issues Interacting with clients' key management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements Documenting a comprehensive understanding of clients' financial and operational processes Proactively communicating with the audit team on various aspects of engagements Providing exceptional service to clients, always acting as a positive brand ambassador Preparing financial statements and management letters For Seniors- Coaching, guiding and providing feedback to Staff Associates and/or Interns Requirements for the Auditor: Bachelor's in Accounting required. Master's degree in Accounting and/or CPA preferred 2+ years of recent accounting and/or external audit experience. Someone with any audit experience and WANTS to do auditing! Proficient Excel skills required For Seniors- experience mentoring associates, leading teams and/or directly supervising employees Someone who can thrive working independently in an autonomous environment Knowledge of tax and regulatory issues impacting audits, GAAP, and GAAS Willingness and ability to travel to client sites, networking events, conferences, etc., as dictated by business need if local #CFSAUG2022
