2022-123187Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a Database Administrator. This position is 100% remote.The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Implements and optimizes database systems that support the company's and client's ability to function daily.Implements and maintains reliable and efficient operation and physical design of databases.Conducts continuous performance tuning of indexes and databases.Reviews database design and integration of systems, providing for backup and recovery, and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements.Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.Develops stored procedures, triggers and other database coding as needed.Administers a variety of database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, and other Database Management Systems (DBMS).Develops and enforces database administration, standards and procedures; audits, modifies, and amends data in systems using SQL commands.Oversees database projects, database and transaction log backups, notifications, and replication between multiple internal and external systems.Participates in complete SDLC of databases and ETL.Reviews technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff; creates and maintains high-level reporting systems; researches and implements new database technology.Develops and maintains SSRS reports.Develops and maintains SSIS packages in Visual Studio.Develops custom data integrations and transformations from structured or unstructured sources and maintains modular code to prep and cleanse data.Builds analytical structures including OLAP cubes, fact tables, and views and has experience in SQL Server Analysis Services and MDX.RequiredAbility to obtain and maintain an RDG level clearance5+ years of experience working with SQL Server Analysis Services and MDX5+ years creating and maintaining SSIS packages in Visual Studio and SSRS reports.5+ years working with software development workflows, unit testing, code review and deployment as applied to data warehouse projects.BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2PreferredExperience with any of the following databases and pipelines: Snowflake, Fivetran, Stitch, and NiFiExperience maintaining analytic engineering environments using tools such as dbt or SSDTExperience in optimizing performance of queries and ETL processes and familiarity with reverse ETL processes from Data Science and ML output"RISKDECISIONGROUP2022"Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
