The Department of Psychology at St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College is accepting applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Social Psychology. This one-year position begins August 2022. The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally work in the US upon hire. Qualifications: Applicants should have a doctorate in Social Psychology or a related field (Ph.D. preferred, ABD acceptable and at time of contract will be hired at the rank of Visiting Instructor) and be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include general courses in the major (eg, Intro to Psychology), core courses in social psychology, and upper-level topics courses in one's area of specialization. A traditional course load is 3 courses per semester and a commitment to culturally competent teaching/mentoring and fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments is essential. Ability to provide undergraduate student research opportunities is encouraged. The department of 14 faculty supports the psychology major, which is among the largest at the College.
