As the Director of Benefits and Health Equity, you will be an advocate of GEICO's evolving culture and values and will be exceptionally focused on prioritizing the health and happiness of every person under GEICO's care. Further, you will be expected to:Have a complete understanding of how the employer space is reinventing benefit and wellness offerings to provide more proactive health strategiesHave experience developing inclusive work environments; create inclusive health and wellness offeringsHave experience establishing, participating or leading community engagement groupsHave an open mind and actively pursuing ways to reinvent healthcareHave experience with or general knowledge of existing, current and pending healthcare policyHave a full understanding of the difference between Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health, are connected to the global conversation around it, have previously developed and implemented impactful health strategies to remove, eliminate and prevent health care barriersPartner with a group of subject matter experts, and have the opportunity to collaborate across all GEICO business functionsEvaluate and monitor our benefits vendors to ensure plan effectiveness and efficient problem resolutionsResearch, interpret and present analyses of industry benchmarking to ensure our total health and happiness benefits are exceeding the expectations of our competitors, adjusting for gaps in service to retain talent, and attract new talentDeliver strategic recommendations to leadership, including the solidification of design, implementation resource planning, communication campaigns, execution plan for administering our health plans, pharmacy benefit management plan, point solutions programs, educational programs, career development programs, retirement programs, and beyond.Use your background to reimagine employee and family total health and happiness alongside our benefits team, leveraging creativity and new ideas to rethink how we deliver our programs and our overall approach towards healthWork closely with communication and marketing to ensure we have appropriate and creative education programs around health and wellness offerings promote preventative and proactive careHave confidence using your voice, positively and effectively challenging your peers and leaders to prioritize the implementation of strategies centered on human health and happiness, and health equity.Ability to build relationships with executive leaders to offer thought leadership on human health, health policy, health equity, social determinants of health, and executable strategies.You will report to the Head of Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits), leading a team of health advocates, benefits innovators, health analysts, and managers of health regeneration. Qualifications: Nine years of benefit and or healthcare experience supporting a national employer.HR or People Operations experience in design, diversity, equity and inclusion development and training, empathy training, healthcare contract consulting, business consulting, cultural development, employee engagement, conflict resolution, crisis resolution, pandemic preparedness and responsiveness, data analytics, employee and family relations.Project management skills, ability to balance multiple tasks and manage competing priorities- ability to work within constraints if applicable as well as confidence to challenge the status quo.The ability to communicate with employees at all levels of their career, including deliverables to the Senior Leadership Team. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including being an active, inclusive and empathetic listener.Creative problem solver with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to meet business needs.Proven experience including specific examples where you leveraged change management techniques.Demonstrated team-building skills cultivating empathy and a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.Analytical, quantitative and advanced computer skillsExperience in health equity improvement including specific examples of successfully implemented strategies addressing health disparities.Ability to build relationships with executive leaders to offer thought leadership on human health, health policy, health equity, social determinants of health, and executable strategies.Experience with federal and state law and compliance requirements, or the willingness to leverage resources to stay current with changes and trends.Benefits:At GEICO, we make sure you have the support and resources to leverage and develop your skills, secure your financial future, and take care of your health and well-being.
