Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with 15 offices across the country has an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to work in our Baltimore office. The selected individual will handle investigative research, document management (physical and electronic), document analysis, trial preparation, cite and fact checking of documents, asset tracking and management, working with various business industries and individuals, along with a variety of other paralegal level tasks. Litigation support software such as Relativity, LiveNote, and TimeMap will be utilized to search for data and organize information for lawyers. This position is hybrid and offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the office.Required SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess a mastery of technical and administrative skills, assume responsibility with minimal supervision and exercise initiative and judgment to make decisions within the scope of their assigned authority. Superior communication, excellent problem solving skills, exceptional client service skills and the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure are necessary to be successful in this position.Required ExperienceA bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved institution and 1-3 years of paralegal experience required. Significant work experience will be considered in place of degree. Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment desired. Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe and other data entry applications and programs. Knowledge of electronic discovery is highly desirable. The ability to work beyond standard hours, travel to client and/or trial sites as needed and lift boxes is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
