Description LOOKING FOR A HANDS-ON VP OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING WITH A NON-PROFIT / SKILLED NURSING BACKGROUND! Robert Half has partnered with an established and reputable client in the area to help find their next finance leader!This person will be part of the executive management team as a strategic partner, and also serve in a hands-on role as the leader of the accounting team responsible for financial statement preparation and the month-end close functions. As VP of Finance, you'll be responsible for leading a small team on a daily basis, overseeing accounting operations and responsible for preparing the financial reporting package, interacting frequently with the Board of Directors, maintaining banking relationships, and more! This may be the role for you if you are looking for a challenging role at an established company in the Baltimore area!A sample of key responsibilities include:- Responsible for all financial reporting preparation- Compare monthly operating results against budget- Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations- Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts- Direct risk and insurance management- Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectivesWe offer a fantastic total compensation package to include a generous base salary, flexible hours, very affordable health insurance, 403B match, and tons of PTO!
