Overview: The Field Service Engineer attends customer sites, ensuring that all service and repair of instruments are conducted in accordance with SOP's, Health and Safety regulations, and in a professional, presentable manner. Documenting all service visits accurately and forwarding, within the allocated time frame, to the Service Admin Department. Calls closed on day of Job. Deliver the First Time Fix KPI. Responsible to fix the customer ensuring the customer receives the best support to their needs. Responsible for installation, Training (after developing skills and experience), service and repair of company products at customer premises. Correct escalation of 2nd level issues. Support the customer in having their equipment running effectively. This may and can include customers throughout Europe Responsibilities: Responsible for executing all service activities on technical equipment, including but not exclusive to: installation, maintenance, diagnosis, emergency repairs as planned by the local operation. This includes both Field and Workshop activities.Maximize equipment performance in line with guidelines and Specialist direction. Key to this is customer uptime, and satisfaction that the service visit meets their needs.Give customer feedback to inform that activity has been taken in charge in a timely mannerKeep updated technical & organizational records on all Bio-Rad systemsStay up to date with the technological developments within your field of operationLiaise and work with local Sales teams to meet market and business requirements.Working at all times within the local health and safety guidelines, maintaining Bio-Rad Quality standards through all you do.To be fully responsible for maintaining accurate records of personal parts inventory, ensuring the quality of all parts remain in the condition and packaging with parts numbers as receivedBe an active Service team member in your local area (Central Italy), in Italy and in EMEA. Qualifications: Good time management and communication skillsUp-to-date computer knowledge in both software and hardware including but not exclusive to PC based systems and Microsoft Office.Working knowledge of English both verbal, comprehension and written focused on the ability to read and mainly technical English.Technical degree and/or at least 3 years experience in a customer facing environmentMust have experience in Immuno Hematology technical services and HPLC techniquesBased in Central Italy (ideally around Rome)
