Overview: Staff Accountant- Accounts Receivable/Group BillingThe Accounts Receivable/Group Billing individual will provide support to the accounting team.Responsibilities: Become familiar with the Property Management System/PMSFocus on accounts receivable duties - Including City Ledger, House Accounts and Group Billing.Review Advance Deposit Report - (Verify all deposits are current or resolved)Group Commission check requests as needed- forward to AP for processingOrganize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and proceduresPrepare, review, issue direct billing & supporting backup with adjustments as necessaryPrint direct billing - present to sales director for review.Hold Credit Meeting with the Sales Department on a monthly basisComplete AR Report to send to Sales/Catering team (copy GM, DOS and DOF)Develop and maintain positive working relationships and maintain confidentiality of proprietary informationSort and verify accuracy of Night Audit work (primarily receivables aspect), ie, including reconciliation of banquet check extensions, coding of banquets at cost, review and route sales and promotion checks with back-up. Post city ledger payments in the property management system, reconcile, and bill all city ledger accounts. Perform follow-up billing and credit collection documentation and inform Controller of any potential uncollectible accounts.Adhere to HHM Internal Audit Standards and make sure those standards are met.Utilize available resources to provide excellent customer satisfactionSuperb time management skills with the ability to prioritize a multitude of projects while staying organized.Perform other duties as requested by the management team.
