**Description:**The Wastewater Technician will be a part of the maintenance team and responsible for the Upkeep, testing and monitoring of wastewater related to boilers in the manufacturing plant.The job will require sitting in an office by a computer and monitoring a variety of data points relating to the equipment. They will peridodically adjust valves and systems and take samples of the water to ensure it is in full compliance.The systems are Reverse Osmosis Systems.Job Responsibilities. Provide technical oversight and assist in operations of a high purity water system, including filtration, ultra-filtration, and reverse osmosis equipment. Consult with customer, management and technical counterparts including communications with other field managers, process engineer, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), sales, engineering, logistics, outside contractors and plant operators regarding equipment and operations regularly. Perform water analysis and collect samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis. Perform daily testing that may include Turbidity, Hardness, Chlorine, pH, SDI, TOC, Na, Conductivity, Silica, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements. Conduct preventative maintenance and calibrate equipment per established process. Ensure proper chemical feed and dosage. Perform equipment repairs per manufacturer specifications. Monitor equipment performance and operation. Transfer data to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.. Maintain monthly reports (charts / graphs), monthly Safety audits, daily and/or weekly reports,. Write work procedures, Job Safety Analysis, maintenance / repair schedules. Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts. Work with PLC controls, understands water process treatment design, and troubleshoot pumps, valves, chemical feed equipment, and instruments.
