IF YOU CAN'T, WE CAN!Michael and Son Services, Inc. and their affiliated entity (BMT Group LLC) are recruiting for a Senior Accountant specializing in general ledger accounting with a demonstrated ability to understand technical accounting concepts. The ideal candidate will be someone that can draw on solid core accounting skills and can assist in the implementation of software and processes to scale its equipment leasing operation. The main responsibility of this individual will be to properly document, track and account for all equipment contracts throughout the organization. This individual will also need to work with leadership in affiliated entities to ensure the reconciliation of intercompany services and payments. This position presents significant growth opportunities, as the individual will be the key point person for financial management of this entity with over 100% year over year growth. It will be imperative that this individual possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and believes that no task is either above or beneath them.The right candidate for this Senior Accountant role will have experience in the following areas:Accounting OperationsLiaise with BMT Group LLC's bookkeeping staff to ensure proper recording of intercompany payments for equipment installations and maintenanceAssist in reconciliation of intercompany accounts with accounting staff in the organization's service entitiesReview and track collections history to identify at-risk accounts; coordinate with the organization's collections staffWork with the organization's financial partners in management of credit facilitiesEnsure and monitor compliance with local and state sales tax regulationsKey stakeholder in migration from QuickBooks to IntacctFinancial Statements and BudgetingPrepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows) for the organization's leasing entity, BMT Group LLCPrepare operational cash forecasts on a recurring basisDevelop static annual budgets and dynamic forecasts which project future results based on previous performanceLease AccountingResponsible for properly recording each equipment lease agreement Develop lease amortization schedules based on predetermined templatesProperly record each customer lease payment and delineate the financial elements of each (principal reduction, interest and maintenance payments). Convert current financial statements from existing modified accrual basis to full GAAP financials in accordance with ASC842 Lease Accounting.Key stakeholder in implementation of new lease management softwareOverallComprehensively analyze current processes and correct inefficiencies while publishing and maintaining formal policies and proceduresPerformance of ad-hoc tasks as assignedTechnical RequirementsAccounting or Finance degree from an accredited university2+ years technical accounting experienceExperience with Intacct (or equivalent)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelCPA preferred, but not requiredBig 4 (or equivalent) experience a major plusBonus points for experience in lease accountingMichael and Son Services, Inc. is the premier, provider of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Restoration services.
