Position Title:A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Sr. Manager, Human ResourcesReports To: A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Chief Operating OfficerSalary Range:A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' $73,444 - $80,789Classification:A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Full time, RegularA' Join a dynamic and growing organization doing impactful work for those on the front lines of our nation's STD public health crisis.A' The Senior Manager, Human Resources will lead day-to-day HR matters for NCSD, while promoting a positive work environment, increasing employee engagement and actively supporting the well-being of NCSD employees. The Senior Manager will serve as the primary contact for management, employees, outside vendors, and consultants for all HR-related matters. Key responsibilities include supporting the organization's recruitment efforts, guiding employees through the onboarding and offboarding process, managing employee relations, leading the performance review process, and monitoring HR policies and procedures in a manner that is consistent with NCSD's written policies and industry best practices. The Senior Manager will also work with the Chief Operations Office to create efficiencies within the organization's HR system, help support culture and DEI initiatives, and serve as the primary contact for any issues related to promotions, internal hires, disciplinary matters, terminations or investigations.A' Here is what you will be doing:A' Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource activities including recruitment, compensation, onboarding benefits, leave, dispute resolution, performance reviews, recognition and promotions, and terminations.Assist operations department to improve HR systems at the organization. Work with the COO and Sr. HR consultant to assist with various HR initiatives and HR strategies.Communicate information about employee concerns and comments and organizational actions taken; keeping the COO and other key stakeholders informed on trends, risks, or more serious issues.Work proactively in partnership with the COO to manage and resolve employee relations matters consistent with NCSD mission and values.Calculate, track, and analyze trends across key performance indicators, such as turnover and retention rate, and recommend strategies to improve results.Support career development and internal recruiting efforts within the organization.Lead company initiatives associated with events and employee recognition programs.Assist with DEI initiatives that involve HR matters.Coordinate with the COO to investigate internal claims when needed.Serve as liaison with Paychex to manage payroll-related matters.Administer employee leaves of absence in accordance with the DC FMLA and NCSD policy.Work with the organization's benefits broker and HR consultant to ensure employee benefit processes are maintained in accordance with regulations and NCSD policy.Maintain statutory records, reports and logs to conform with DOL regulations.Other duties as assignedA' Here is what you need to know:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of HR and employee relations experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.General knowledge of employee and labor relations, Federal and State employment and labor lawsPHR or SHRM-CP certification highly desiredDemonstrated knowledge of strategies that support a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racismExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated a great degree of empathy.Maintain confidentiality and exercises a high level of discretion on all mattersAbility to think creatively, take initiative, and be proactive. Be results driven.Strong organizational and prioritization skills as well as attention to detailExperience and willingness to work cooperatively in a teamAbility and willingness to travel for meetings when necessaryThis position is a full-time and includes a generous benefits package, including a retirement match and employer-paid health insurance.
