If youre interested in applying, please send an updated resume and a copy of your CompTIA Security+ certification to Courtney at cmoody@apexsystems.com Position: Systems Administrator Location: Pentagon Hours: Monday-Friday Clearance: Candidates must be US Citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of employment Duration: Long Term Contract Certification Requirement: CompTIA Security+ Perks: -Paid government holidays -Sick leave Overview: Seeking high-level IT Professionals to provide System Administration duties including hardware/software installs, system patching & vulnerability management, server administration and user management supporting a critical system environment within the National Military Command Center Roles and Responsibilities: System Administration Deploy, secure, sustain and provide reliable access to servers, databases, software and tools on identified networks Address issues with and provide recommendations for procurement of new systems, upgrades, configuration changes, licensing, and software products Participate in Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) process development and implementation to provide minimal system downtime. Active Directory Management Group Policy Management and Administration Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve server/system/application issues and provide feedback to customer base Familiarity with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process System Maintenance Maintain system uptime to support business needs Develop and maintain accurate Hardware/Software inventory Perform routine monthly server maintenance, review logs and perform system cleanup as necessary Develop backup procedures Maintain, manage, and monitor storage capacity and growth requirements for all server environments Vulnerability Management Coordinate local vulnerability mitigation efforts Devise, coordinate, and track Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) or extension requests with local Cybersecurity personnel Perform vulnerability solution testing as needed, including all hardware/software upgrades, software maintenance, and firmware updates Work with configuration solutions on auditing products, security configuration solutions Monitor system scans via Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) software Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related field and 6-8+ years of experience in the field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
