Job#: 1283502 Job Description: Role: SAFe Project Manager Location: 100% Remote Client: IT Consulting Firm Duration: Temp to Perm Overview: Our client is a rapidly growing small business that specializes in building strong Engineering teams that provide high quality, modern technical solutions to our clients. *If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, please send an up-to-date resume to Anna Susie at asusie@apexsystems.com* Duties and Responsibilities: Our client is a rapidly growing small business that is taking a large federal agency through a SAFE implementation, is seeking a SAFe Project management who: Work with organization executive leadership to execute the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) implementation roadmap in efficient and productive way. lead, cross-functional business groups to build, sustain, and strengthen Agile values, SAFe, scrum and Kanban concepts and practices, providing them the necessary tools and guidance to successfully implement across high-impact programs throughout the enterprise. Identify Agile change agents across the organization who can act as informal mentors/peers and continue increasing the maturity across the organization Lead teams in scrum tasks (eg, iteration planning, user story mapping, estimations, daily stand ups, demos, retrospective discussions, etc.) Be an active member of the LACE (Lean-Agile Center of Excellence) team who will support the teams objectives to transform the enterprise to SAFe Support creating necessary templates and artifacts to support the implementation roadmap. Works with various teams of various sizes - coaching and training personnel on SAFE processes/procedures, managing their progress toward full implementation Ensures team adherence to Agile principles by assisting and/or coaching teams on how to execute SAFe to achieve self-organization and high performance. Lead Release Train Engineers at either the team and/or program levels, including Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Technical Leads and executives to leverage Agile principles, organizational design, engineering practices and frameworks to deliver high value business capabilities. Required Qualifications: 8+ or more years of experience in Information Technology environment Working in Agile delivery environments where SAFe was applied Able to collect, develop, and analyze data and metrics. Experience as serving as a change agent, helping organization plan, manage, and implement SAFe to meet strategic objectives, and supporting or leading Agile transformation Good knowledge of JIRA in SAFe implementation for enterprise Ability to demonstrate practical SAFe transformation for large organizations Must have excellent experience with industry leading Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Agile Scrum Methodology, Kanban Must have excellent understanding of software development life cycle models, Agile principles and methodologies, as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices Must have excellent experience in SAFe Release Trains on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Must have experience in working with Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams. Must have experience in facilitating and supporting all SAFe and SCRUM events: PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Must have experience in refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques Must have experience managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion Must have experience with Agile Lifecycle Tools such as JIRA, Version One, Rally Demonstrated record of influencing senior leaders, particularly by demonstrating link between corporate strategy and SAFe Release Train objectives Able to negotiate solutions to problems, persuades others, and resolves conflicts and challenges within the Portfolio. Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand Expertise in Facilitation Techniques and Communication with Senior and Executive leadership. Able to encourage collaboration across individuals and teams, including those outside of the Portfolio. Able to understand and operate within budgetary and organizational guardrails. Able to research and implement industry best practices Able to identify differences in understanding and issues as they arise and elevate them to the team for resolution, or to management if needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must currently be a United States citizen Must have a bachelor's degree or above with 8+ years' experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred SAFe Certification, SPC, SSM or other Able to help the team on product & project management, design thinking, engineering culture, and DevOps. Able to understand and work with projects applying technical concepts, such as DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud, Architecture, Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD), etc. Able to participate actively in the development and refinement of internal tools and processes, especially those related to CI/CD EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
