Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. NG Space Systems is looking to fill a Director 1, Programs role. The Director of Advanced Programs will lead a portfolio of programs and captures focused on the development of early phase technologies with a focus on supporting the transition to production programs within the Remote Sensing Programs Business Unit in the fast-growing Payloads and Ground Systems Division. The successful candidate will oversee the successful execution of R&D programs and continue to fill the technology pipeline with new captures. This position requires an understanding of the technologies that comprise our payload offerings, experience operating in a restricted access program environment, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise. This position will involve working with other NG sectors to identify new technologies with mission relevance for our customers. The selected individual must be able to interact with and influence executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations. Program Directors are responsible for coordination and management of all phases of program execution, from inception through completion. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Manage and monitor the working of the various functional organizations supporting the program. Support the various internal and external program and pursuit reviews throughout the organization. Lead the development of proposals. Conduct regular meetings with team to discuss issues, concerns and resolution. Work in compliance with company policies and procedures. Partner with business development and business management to maximize investments to develop growth opportunities. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Operations or related technical fields Minimum of 10 years of program management experience Current Top Secret Clearance, with SSBI adjudicated within the past 5 years Understanding of technical, cost, schedule impacts on a program and be able to adjudicate at reviews, ECP signoffs, and assess the technical impacts Understanding of business development and capture strategies Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to lead a large, geographically diverse organization Knowledge of space systems development best practices including production and delivery of space hardware Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style Excels at operating at a fast pace in a diverse technical and programmatic environment Open to direction and collaborative work style; commitment to get the job completed Salary Range: $189,200 USD - $283,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
