IB Ops -Mortgage Finance Middle Office - Associate Role Business Background: T he Global Securitized Products Group trades and structures a variety of products for a wide range of clients globally. JPMorgan is currently the market leader across these areas and has been a key driver behind the ongoing development of the marketplace over recent years. The continued pace of change means that Operations needs to continue to adapt to the changing business needs and provide innovative solutions to business problems and maintain a strong control framework. The Securitized Products Middle Office is primarily responsible for the trade management, risk management and control of both the standard and nonstandard elements of the business; p roviding support and independent control over the activities of the Front Office risk managers in the execution of their responsibilities. Middle Office teams are business aligned for efficiency and product coverage purposes. Mortgage Finance Associate in SPG Middle Office: Responsibilities include: Review of documentation for client on-boarding into corporate systems (Loan IQ/ABSolute/MBWS) Facilitate client/deal set up across various systems Perform various reconciliations and reporting at deal and business level Partner with technology to define/test/implement enhancements to core systems Drive financial and control objectives of the business Communicate with various internal and external parties to execute objectives Identify potential risk related activities and close gaps Participate in special projects and department/bank initiatives as necessary Ability to develop workarounds for manual processes using automation or Microsoft Office Qualifications Essential Skills: BA/BS degree required Experience with mortgage whole loans, origination, conduit, servicing, default and liquidation Self motivated individual that demonstrates significant initiative Highly organized, extremely detail and control orientated. Keen to question everything and understand the detail behind the numbers and/or process Strong analytical skills Team player with ability to build strong cross-business relationships. Ability to work in a stressful environment and deal with ongoing demands of Front Office.
