Director, Architect, SaaS Integration Leader - Capital One Software (Remote Eligible)

Capital One has taken a bold journey to build a technology company while operating in a complex, highly regulated business. We have built out a large engineering organization, moved to the cloud, re-architected our applications and data platforms, and embraced machine learning at scale.

Our AI/ML capabilities are now at the forefront of what's possible in banking. (e.g., Eno). As we uncovered new challenges along the way, we built and battle tested new capabilities to meet those needs. We've open sourced several of the software tools we built (e.g., Cloud Custodian, Hygieia) and forged new partnerships with other digital leaders (e.g., MSFT).

Through this journey, we've developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. The Capital One Software team is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud.

The Capital One Software SaaS Integration Leader will build Capital One Software's integration with SaaS, 3rd Parties, and security technology capabilities. In this role, you will design and develop the right alignment with shared tech capabilities with internal COF tooling; i.e. BRLR, CRM, and All Access. You will recommend build vs buy, and also review cutting edge technologies, solutions, and industry best practice capabilities. • Research, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for Capital One Software's growth and scale. Design and execute a proactive strategy to monitor the "shelf-life" of existing technologies and third-party components and execute on a clear plan to integrate new technologies; i.e. where Build vs Buy makes better investment or business sense
  • Evaluate business challenges and work with other internal enterprise technology leaders to arrive at the best-fit technology solution; to include but not limited to designing SaaS, DLP, Incident Monitoring, and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering, architecture, SaaS Governance and Integration performed in Capital One Software
  • Lead implementation of quality, continuous improvement, problem solving tools and other efficiency improvements to existing processes focusing on speed and quality of code development
  • Provide technical expertise and oversight to all ongoing development projects, conduct technical reviews and oversee product qualification/certifications in accordance with policy, procedures, industry guidelines/standards
  • Steward delivery and operational excellence across technology SaaS and 3rd Party solutions
  • Manage executive and senior executive-level stakeholder relationships as needed
  • Assist with estimating work efforts required for each phase of a project
  • Create and facilitate a professional engineering environment
  • Establish well managed 3rd party integrations and SaaS product validation and adoption
