NGDS is seeking an Associate Business Analyst to join our team in Fairfax, VA and will support the Army Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Business Operating System (Army PPB BOS) program. The PPB BOS Program is responsible for providing support during the phases of DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and execution processes. Our engineering teams perform a variety of tasks leading to the successful integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of complex systems. The selected candidate will analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop requirements, business rules and design methodologies. Coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Requires knowledge of software development lifecycle principals, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow charts and diagrams. Responsibilities Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner for the developers/project team Develops and conducts reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted Collaborate with customer and development team to identify appropriate technical solutions Coordinate with customers and/or technical staff to resolve issues Use accepted project management, application development and documentation standards and processes Works with the project manager to coordinate testing, implementation, documentation of applications Skills Self-starter that takes initiative to complete assignments with little supervision Ability to manage multiple tasks and process areas simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and customer service skills Proficient with computer and information technologies Strong attention to detail Adept at managing time to meet deadlines Ability to think logically and analyze business process requirements Experience working with virtual teams across enterprise Exceptional organizational skills with attention to details Basic Qualifications Candidate must have an accredited Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics or similar 1-3 years of requirements gathering or related systems engineering tasks 1-3 years of hands-on experience with data analysis, mapping and translation Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Relevant experience in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint Experience using Atlassian Jira Certification in a Systems Engineering discipline such as INCOSE Able to prepare and analyze data and figures Current or previous experience working with restricted customers Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
