C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring Day shift Quality Technician 12- hour Shifts, hours 6am to 6pm $22/hour to start WHAT YOU GET: * Up-to 96 Paid Vacation hours * 10 Paid Holidays per year * Shoe Reimbursement at 6-months * Pay increases at 90 days and every 270 days after * Perfect Attendance Bonus twice a year Other Benefits: * Spot Awards * Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage * 401(k) plan with generous company match * Bonus programs * Company-paid life and AD&D insurance, and short-term disability coverage * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): * Responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes. * Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. * Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation. * Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing. * Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices. * Ensures and educates employees on quality expectations. * Collect product samples for the Quality lab. * Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications. * Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected "real time" when feasible. * Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement. * Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines. * The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive. Qualifications: * Preferred 1-2 years' experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP's (21CFR 110/111/210/211). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Excellent time management skills. * Excellent attention to detail is essential. Other knowledge, skills, and abilities: * Self-motivated with proven leadership skills. * Prior experience in food environment a plus. * Must be able to work in a team environment. * Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. * Flexible availability: we work night and weekend shifts. * Ability to work well in a team environment. * Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. * Must be able to make immediate decisions on disposition. * Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance. Physical Demands: * Work 12-hour shifts * Able to lift to 50-80 lbs. * Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time * Bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing ladders * Ability to work with high temperature materials * Ability to work with chemicals for cleaning
