Description Job Description: The Leidos Civil Group is hiring for Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) to support the Department of Education (DoED) Federal Student Aid (FSA) enterprise in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting an important, fast-paced, program. In this role, you will support the Enterprise Cybersecurity Group's (ECG) mission to oversee FSA's compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) standards and ensure the confidentiality/privacy, integrity, and availability of information, systems, and resources. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The ISSO provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system. Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements. Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support continuous monitoring and accreditation efforts. Provides configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NIST and DoED/FSA processes. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 2+ years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Prior experience at least two (2) of the following areas: NIST Risk Management Framework, vulnerability management, knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools. Certification - ISC2 CAP, GIAC GSLC, and/or CompTIA Security+ CE Pay Range: Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
