Position Summary: AHLA is seeking a Human Resources Manager to assist with coordinating the HR function including employee relations, compensation, benefit administration, professional development, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment and employment law compliance for the association. Responsibilities: A cents € cents Assist with the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. A cents € cents Oversight of HR compliance in accordance with applicable state and federal laws A cents € cents Creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws A cents € cents Assist with the development and support learning & development initiatives to enrich staff experience and organizational culture A cents € cents Develop and update HR policies A cents € cents Support staff onboarding A cents € cents Respond to HR questions and troubleshooting issues A cents € cents Assist with benefits administration and address general benefits inquiries A cents € cents Organize and maintain HR files A cents € cents Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: A cents € cents Bachelor's Degree A cents € cents At least two (2) years of professional Human Resources experience; working within a trade association or hotel industry experience a plus. A cents € cents Experience working ADP Workforce Now A cents € cents Working knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Skills and Attributes: A cents € cents Must have a positive attitude and passion for helping people achieve their potential. A cents € cents Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations A cents € cents Ability to interact effectively with internal and external senior-level executives in a professional manner and be proactive in anticipating business and administrative needs. A cents € cents Ability to exercise sound judgement to ensure information is held confidentially. A cents € cents Ability to prioritize workload and meet multiple deadlines. A cents € cents Excellent oral and written communication skills; team player, self-motivation, and position attitude. A cents € cents Detail oriented individual with exceptional organizational and time management skills. A cents € cents Experienced computer and software knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). A cents € cents Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
