**This position is a full-time, day shift position (two-8 hour shifts in administration and two-12 hour shifts in staffing per week). UNIT SUMMARY : The Pulmonary/Infectious Disease (Pulm/ID) unit is a 37-bed adult med surg acute care unit specializing in the management of both chronic ventilator patients and peritoneal dialysis patients. We are the only unit that does peritoneal dialysis in the hospital, and we are the only acute care unit managing vents. In addition, we also manage patients with respiratory issues, infectious diseases. JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Nurse Manager is a supportive role to the Unit Nurse Manager and staff. This role has 24/7 accountability with a focus on improving and sustaining positive patient outcomes, the patient experience, facilitating patient throughput, staff engagement, operations, fiscal and change management. In addition, it will be a requirement for this individual to maintain basic nursing skills as required by their specialty. The individual must demonstrate basic competence in clinical, ethical and legal aspects surrounding the provision of patient care. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assume full oversight and responsibilities for their assigned unit. The ANM position is about 60% clinical staffing and 40% administration. The role will have rotating weekend coverage providing support via phone. REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience Active Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN) American Heart Association CPR Certification (BLS) Must be a member of Professional Organization Location: LifeBridge Health .
