Athletic Ticket Operations InternThis is a 9-month paid position. The intern will work under the direction of the Assistant Director, Sales & Ticket Operations.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Assist in the day-to-day operations of the ticket office;Manage all incoming calls to the main Ticket Office phone as well as potential window customers;Respond and oversee email inquiries to the main Ticket Office email;Process ticket orders in Ticketmaster Archtics;Prepare and make daily deposits with the University cashier's office;Supervise all aspects of ticket operations, including part-time ticket sellers, for select sporting events; andCollaborate and work with other units of the Athletic Department including Marketing, Events, and Fundraising.Required Qualifications:This position requires a 35-hour-per-week commitment; some evening and weekend hours as necessary;The candidate must have demonstrated customer service skills, effective communication and organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in the ticket office are preferred; andPreference is given to those enrolled in a degree-granting program with an internship requirement.
