Duties

As a Credit Risk Officer (Single Family), you will:
  • Lead and coordinate executive and senior management involvement in discussions and decisions regarding credit risk issues facing the Single Family Housing (SF) program.
  • Provide expert level guidance and counsel on credit risk issues regarding the Single Family program to key decision makers, including the Assistant Secretary for Housing, the DAS-SF, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs (DAS-RMRA), the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Risk Management (ADAS-RM), and the Dir-RM.
  • Represent FHA during briefings and negotiations within the Department, as well as with Congress, officials in other Federal agencies, private industry, and or interest groups.
  • Direct the execution of the SF Credit Risk team's mandate, independently or through coordination a team of other subject matter experts.

The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience:
    Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
    • Leads and coordinates executive and senior management involvement in intellectual discussions and decisions regarding credit risk issues facing FHA Single Family Housing Programs;AND
    • Leads data analysis of FHA Single Family Housing Programs.

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
