Accounts Payable Manager - Remote Job Summary / Objective: Thriveworks is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with strong leadership skills and the ability to lead AP operations and process improvements with a strategic focus as the Company scales. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to be a strong independent contributor to the accounts payable team. This individual will manage all accounts payable activities for the Company, ensure timely payments of vendor invoices, and maintain accurate records and control reports. The candidate should possess solid communication, technological, organizational, and analytical skills. Salary / Total Compensation: $80,000 with Bonus Opportunity Healthcare, Dental, Vision, and life insurance benefits - additional coverage options available such as Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Group Accident Insurance. 401K with a 3% employer match Paid Time Off Essential Functions include: Manage and supervise the accounts payable department and staff. Develop, implement, and maintain payables systems, procedures, and policies. Ensure Account Payable maintains a strong environment of controls. Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company. Own AP inbox, ensuring timely processing and responses to internal and external inquiries. Oversight of the end-to-end AP process including verification of invoice details, coding, and obtaining approvals. Own all AP and credit card accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Review vendor statements and reconcile discrepancies. Work with department heads to enforce policies and controls for expenditure. Oversee all payment transactions such as ACH, wires, paper checks, and so on. Ensure all relevant tax and vendor documents are obtained in a timely manner to include, including 1099s. Assist with annual audit preparations. Other projects as assigned. Competency / Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures. Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and independently and interact with various teams and levels of employees as needed. An improvement mindset is a must. Accurately handling financial reporting in a fast-paced environment with multiple locations. Proficient in MS Office Suite programs, Word and Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and stress management skills. Familiarity with accounting software (Sage Intacct) preferred.
