Job Description Bello Machre is seeking Direct Support Professionals and caregivers for our Residential Program in Anne Arundel. Caregivers are essential staff and provide loving care for adults with developmental disabilities in their homes throughout Anne Arundel County. The title of Direct Support Professional covers the full scope of positions and roles in our residential program and can be full or part-time. There are shifts daytime, evening, weekend, and overnight positions available. In addition to providing direct support and loving care, our Direct Support Professionals teach the people we support independent living skills, plan community-based activities, and implement individual program plans. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old A high school diploma or GED required Must have a current driver's license with no more than 5 points Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities Must be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual's strengths and capabilities Responsibilities Provide outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate as fully as they wish in all aspects of community life Provide individualized attention, which encourages each person's ability to maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Be knowledgeable of the person-centered plan for each person and provide support to them according to their plan Assist in maintaining a family-style household, which includes cooking balanced meals according to their needs and preferences and maintaining house cleanliness Assist and support individuals in completing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assist individuals in the development of friendships and other relationships.
