Company is looking for a Government Contract Sales Representative to fill a major sales role within the organization. An integral part of our fast-growing Government sales team, this representative will need strong strategic planning skills, be a quick learner, and enjoy adapting to different clients and projects. If you enjoy a collaborative, fast-paced, and fun environment where your contributions are visible and highly impactful, this position is for you! Ideal for someone with design and building experience, this position excels with experience in selling furniture, flooring, lighting, wall coverings, or interior architectural products. You must have excellent networking skills, follow-through, and the ability to ask probing questions that define new opportunities for the company. The ideal New Business, Government Sales Representative candidate will - Build key relationships within the Government community that lead to projects and create end-user sales. - Be a strong and effective communicator, both verbally and graphically, and able to lead presentations and proposal creation. - Have a high degree of resilience for difficult competitive situations and the ability to describe differentiators that secure projects. - Possess strong business acumen with an understanding of top-line sales, profit margins, and strategic product positioning. - Have a high sense of urgency, both while pursuing leads and within projects. - Be a team leader to secure both product and service contracts, assist with strategic and tactical issues and plans, and provide leadership on major new business initiatives and project planning. *Requirements* *1.
