Basic Qualifications : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. We are ready to hire a Software Lead for the Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) delivered to the United States Navy (USN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions. ** We're looking for candidates with strong skills in C++, Linux, Large System Integration, Scrum Master, Software Leadership, DOD Secret Clearance ** Your Role: Lead a team of 4-6 Software Engineers who are developing mostly C++ (and some Java) in a Linux environment for the Navy Assist with System Integration and Test Serve as Scrum Master and Product Owner to coordinate software activities for various Submarine Baselines Conduct Planning Increment (PI) events, hold daily scrums, and coordinate SW Build releases Work onsite with the development team at Lockheed Martin Integration facility in Manassas Virginia coordinating with the ARCI/SWFTS community Advocate for critical enhancements and fixes with your government counterparts Write and repair C++ code within a Linux environment Document software solutions using strong oral and written communication skills Lead by example with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task in a collaborative (team) environment Required Skills: C++ software development within a Linux environment Large System Integration (preferably Navy DOD environment) Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Jira to manage the Agile software team Preferred Experience: ARCI or SWFTS submarine software development Agile certifications or equivalent experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner Digital Signal Processing development Requirements management **Relocation is Available!** Minimum Salary: USD $113,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $125,000.00/Yr. Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
