Resident Services Manager - Independent Living
The Resident Services Manager for Independent Living is responsible for the coordination of services offered to the Independent Living residents related to physical, social, emotional, psychological and recreational needs. Supervises At-Home Services staff and other staff as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred * Minimum two years' experience in a related health services field * Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word Excel, and email applications required * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Professionalism * Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work assignments * Must communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff Responsibilities and Expectations: * Responsible for the coordination of Independent Living (IL) services related to the physical, social, emotional, psychological and recreational needs of the residents. * Responsible for or makes recommendations regarding the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and implementation of corrective action for At-Home Services staff and/or IL Health Services staff other staff as assigned. * Develops positive relationships with IL residents, family members and other constituent stakeholders of the community. * Accessible to residents and family members informally as well as through planned interactions/functions. * Consults and meets with community staff through Continuum of Care and Board of Review meetings on matters related to IL residents. * Communicates with residents and families regarding continuum of care. * At least annually, evaluates job performance of At-Home Services and/or IL Health Services staff other staff as assigned. * Prepares At-Home Services staff and/or IL Health Services staff schedules within budgetary guidelines, providing adequate staff to assure quality of care and to meet resident and facility needs. * Maintains knowledge of resident conditions through the At-Home Services staff, IL Health Services staff, personal visits, and involvement with resident groups, including Resident Council and family conferences. * Conducts regular staff meetings for purposes of planning, coordinating and direction of IL resident services. * Coordinates processing of IL resident information with administrative staff including, but not limited to resident file database entry and maintenance. * Plans and coordinates the orientation of new residents, in conjunction with other staff. * Assists Executive Director with the development of the IL budget. * Develops and maintains campus IL policies and procedures related to all areas of responsibility. * Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and implementing IL resident service conferences as necessary. * Ensures maintenance of the IL Resident Handbook and other printed materials. * Coordinates IL resident services with other team members to maximize services for all residents. * Responsible for annually reviewing HIPAA regulations with IL residents.
