Overview: Bardon, Inc. d/b/a Aggregate Industries, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States (and member of LaFargeHolcim) has an immediate opening for a Milling Machine Operator to support Asphalt operations in the Baltimore-Washington Metro area. The position is primarily responsible for the set-up, safe operation and maintenance of the asphalt milling machine. Responsibilities: Ensures safe operation of milling machine Possess basic knowledge of asphalt including milling, paving, stripping and heavy equipment operation Secures work pieces on machines, using holding devices, measuring instruments, hand tools and hoists Remove work pieces from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications Adjusts controls to set cutting specifications Computes dimensions, tolerances, and angles of work pieces or machines according to specifications Ensures alignment of work pieces on machines, using measuring instruments such as rules, gauges, or calipers May perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent A minimum of two years of experience working on an asphalt paving crew Ability to travel to various sites throughout the region Ability to read, speak and write English Strong safety-orientation #HOLCIM2
