You will support an essential data center and cloud modernization program for a critically important federal healthcare client. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join our team to modernize and integrate several data centers and legacy systems with cloud-based solutions into a holistic shared services solution. This role requires an energetic individual who wants to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment. This role requires a leader who can drive strategy and implementation of a common set of processes and technical solutions for the customer. The role will require excellent customer-facing skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to build consensus and drive solutions across multiple systems in a multi-vendor environment. The role will be engaged daily with the federal customer C-suite and other senior officials. The role will be savvy to Federal mandates for Government IT modernization and acquisition reform and lead a program that provides the workforce to serve the customer's current state as well as enable digital transformation and innovation for the customer organization. The functional responsibilities will be to serve as the Lead DevSecOps CI/CD Engineer on an enterprise data center, cloud operations, and modernization contract responsible for organizing, directing, and managing multiple complex and inter-related transitional projects that often require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations. In this role, a typical day will include: Develops policies, guidelines, and standards for deploying to Cloud infrastructure, system and application security requirements, and developing security solutions Develops and deploys common toolsets and consistent modernized process to support application teams on their adoption and maturation of DevSecOps practices Assisting teams with cloud environment issues related to performance, configuration, or otherwise Identifying and implementing improvements to how we build and deploy software securely Helping create cloud infrastructure in a cost-efficient manner Develop effective and compelling briefings, proposal materials, reusable artifacts, and related materials for use by our customers, both internal and external Plan and help execute prototyping and technical implementation efforts WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software) This position requires a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in managing/leading IT projects and programs, including experience with data centers and infrastructure programs, and using Agile software development and DevSecOps methodologies 7+ years of software development experience 5+ years of DevSecOps continuous integration and delivery experience 5+ years developing software products in Cloud environments Expertise in DevSecOps automation, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD), Lean, and Agile Scrum/Kanban development techniques, best practices and tools, and onboarding of software development teams to accelerate value delivery End-to-end Agile Lifecycle Management, Test, Build, Deployment, Security and Application Monitoring CI/CD pipeline automation solutions (ie, Jira, GitLab/GitHub, Selenium, Cucumber, Bamboo, Ant/Maven, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Sonatype Nexus/CheckMarx, New Relic, AppDynamics etc.) Cloud-native application architecture and design experience including containerized microservice, service mesh, API, and event-driven architectures Application containerization and orchestration solutions (ie, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift) Test-driven, and Behavior-driven Development (TDD / BDD) Java/J2EE/JEE/.Net (C#) or comparable application architecture, design and development experience Development framework and design pattern experience including Model View Controller, React, AngularJS, Node.js, JSON, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Bootstrap, Responsive UI and/or comparable SQL, RDBMS (ie, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and NoSQL Database solutions (ie MarkLogic, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Neo4J, etc.) Experience working with large data sets including data integration, data migration, analysis and visualization Experience with cloud-native software architecture frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (OCI-compliant containerized microservices, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration) and Cloud-based services (AWS Lambda, EKS, Azure DevOps, AKS) Demonstrated experience developing and scaling engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data Strong communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and stakeholders Certifications in Software development, DevSecOps, and Cloud-Native architecture specialization Have an existing or the ability to obtain a clearance Agile certifications - PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, etc. preferred ITIL Certified (current) or equivalent preferred WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Challenging work that makes a real impact on the world around you Diverse, highly collaborative teams #GDITPriority #OpportunityOwned #GDITCareers #GDITLife #WeareGDIT About Our Work We are GDIT.
